Europe’s first 5G rail terminal put into operation in Hungary

On October 18, Europe’s first rail terminal using 5G technology for dedicated network management went into operation in Hungary.

The project was called “East-West Gate” – “Gate between East and West”. Hungarian mobile operator Vodafone was reportedly awarded the contract to build the 5G network, with network equipment provided by Huawei’s Hungarian subsidiary.
